VKB (Vicki Kristina Barcelona) brings together three extraordinary women songwriters, the genre-fluid Rachelle Garniez, global adventurer Amanda Homi, and rootsy, bluesy Kirsten Thien, whose collaboration shines with originality, humor, and heart. Their performances celebrate the sensitive and surprising world of Tom Waits, reimagined through luminous three-part harmonies and fresh interpretations that are both timeless and new.

Far from a tribute act, VKB weaves their own songs into the mix, revealing the ladies’ creative spirit and camaraderie at the core of their project. Drawing from a playful treasure chest of instruments: harmonium, accordion, banjo, washboard, guitars, bottles, and bells, their sound dances between mischief and tenderness, delighting audiences wherever they go. The trio will explore the deep emotional landscape of Waits’ music, exactly where beauty, wit, and longing coexist to offer a soulful evening that uplifts and stirs.

Opening the night will be The B2s – a ten-piece Women’s Voice Ensemble founded and directed by musician and songwriter Debbie Lan – and known for their rich harmonies and songs of joy, unity, and empowerment. With Betty Boomer, Ruth Molloy, Suzanne Stokes, Carol Bialy, Noelle Damon, Kathy Flannery, Rita Prusinski, Vicki Koenig, Donna Greenfield Cullen and Debbie Lan.

The B2’s will join VKB on a few selections, adding to the evening’s magic. Together, these artists offer an evening that restores, and is bound to remind us of the light that not only art, but each of us, can bring to the world.
