VKB (Vicki Kristina Barcelona) brings together three extraordinary women songwriters, the genre-fluid Rachelle Garniez, global adventurer Amanda Homi, and rootsy, bluesy Kirsten Thien, whose collaboration shines with originality, humor, and heart. Their performances celebrate the sensitive and surprising world of Tom Waits, reimagined through luminous three-part harmonies and fresh interpretations that are both timeless and new.
Far from a tribute act, VKB weaves their own songs into the mix, revealing the ladies’ creative spirit and camaraderie at the core of their project. Drawing from a playful treasure chest of instruments: harmonium, accordion, banjo, washboard, guitars, bottles, and bells, their sound dances between mischief and tenderness, delighting audiences wherever they go.
